About GFSA

The Gulf Flight Safety Association is the not-for-profit body representing aviation safety organisations across the GCC — convening operators, airports, regulators, and ground services in service of shared safety practice across the region.

Our vision

To engage international safety bodies and contribute to safety activities across the Gulf region.

Objectives

What we work on, set out in the association's own terms.

Regional and international regulation

Participate in modifying regulations within the region and worldwide to effectively serve safety.

Education across the region

Educate the regional community through safety seminars, conferences, training programmes, workshops, and forums.

Sharing what works

Share specific safety measures proven effective for one airline so they can be utilised by others.

Reaching the front line

Disseminate safety information to front-line workers using all available means.

Confidential convening

Bring together key people in the aviation sector to highlight safety information in an unrestricted but confidential environment.

Mutual learning

Share specific experiences for the mutual benefit of all members and learn from one another.

Operational intelligence

Present and arrange topics of interest, development, and relevance to improve operational safety and intelligence.

Engagement with authorities

Regularly engage with safety bodies, authorities, ministries, and relevant industry — to learn from them and, where appropriate, encourage regulatory, operational, or manual change.
